FBLA- Future Business Leaders of America

PBL-Phi Beta Lambda, the college division of FBLA

Conferences

SLC- State Leadership Conference (where all the chapters compete for state awards and students campaign for state officer positions)

NLC- National Leadership Conference (held in major cities in the USA, where the top 2 students from each state compete in various events for national titles, as well as campaign for national offices.

FLW- Fall Leadership Conference- A state conference that is used to provide NYS FBLA mambers with leadership training in order to be effective chapter officers, prepare for careers in business, etc.

NFLC- National Fall Leadership Conference- held in conjunction with the FLW. This is not a national conference, it is only planned by the national headquarters. In reality, it is a "regional" conference. New York State is located in the Eastern Region. Other states in our region include: all states from Maine down through Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and the Department of Defense Dependent Schools in Europe.

MBO- Management by Objective, a time management program used by members to plan activities.
